Bitesize webinar: Introduction to data sharing & the ORDA repository Online

Repositories provide a way of sharing research data, software and methodological materials which can increase the visibility and impact of your research and lead to future collaborations. The University has its own repository, ORDA, which enables research data created at the University to be stored and shared.

Aimed at all those who want to find out more about the hows and whys of sharing research data, this 25-minute webinar will explore why researchers might want to share their data, and why we might want to share it in a repository specifically. It will introduce the ORDA repository, how to deposit items in it, and how to make sure these items are as accessible and useful to other researchers as they can be. It will also include one researcher’s perspective on data sharing using ORDA - Colin Angus from the School of Health and Related Research (SCHARR) will be present to discuss his experience.
