Lib Fest Creative Workshop: Women's History Month In-Person
Are you interested in being creative and contributing to the University Library's commitment to include previously missing voices? Sign up for this creative workshop organised to coincide with Women's History Month.
Activities will include:
- Tote bag decorating: using sewing machines, we’ll be creating tote bags with messages, slogans, and pictures, standing in solidarity with the Reclaim The Night campaign
- Clay key making: we’ll be taking keys, a symbol of self soothing and self defence, to create our own clay keys. We’ll inscribe affirmations, words, and drawings on them to create our own grounding trinkets.
- Reclaiming texts: using a combination of magazine/newspaper cutting, message writing, blackout poetry and ‘page destruction’, we will be doing collaborative collaging as a symbol of our unified stance against violence.
This is a face-to-face workshop, in the Digital Commons on Level One of the Information Commons (Room IC 1.20).
