Creative Library Workshop In-Person

Are you interested in being creative and contributing to the development of the University Library’s Digital Commons? Sign up for this creative workshop organised to coincide with Disability History Month.

Our workshops are inclusive of all disabilities, physical and mental, including neurodivergence.

Activities will include:

  • Fidget toy making:creating our own DIY fidget toys using 3D printers and sensory materials.
  • Music making: using sound to disrupt the silencing of disabled people.
  • Feelings and Body Reflections Dress Art: using stories and stitching to produce creative statements on ‘the body’ and identity.

This is a face-to-face workshop, in the Digital Commons on Level One of the Information Commons (Room IC 1.20). Refreshments and creative materials provided free!

This is a research project - visit the website, read the research information form, then print and complete the consent form (or do it on the day!). The session is open to all students at the University of Sheffield and we hope for a good mix of people with lived experiences and allies.
